Best Kids Live Action 2022
We won an EMMY for KABAM!
The director, the writers and I went to the 50th International Emmy Awards in New York and came home with an EMMY!
For this show I composed the score and did the editing. My son Boris is also one of the main characters in Kabam!

RECENT WORK
Deze indrukwekkende documentaire met veel archief beelden en interviews heb ik van een soundtrack mogen voorzien.
De score bestaat uit accordeon, viool en zang. Vol overgave uitgevoerd door het duo
Renée Bekkers en Jacobien Rozemond.
Nooit eerder werd de onthutsende rol van de Amsterdamse tram verteld die collaboreerde met de nazi-bezetter en tienduizenden Joden wegvoerde, waaronder Anne Frank en haar familie. Willy Lindwer en Guus Luijters reisden door de stad met de originele tram. Ze spraken met de laatste overlevenden die afgevoerd zijn met de tram vanaf de vele ‘schuldige plekken.

Als de Surinaamse Rosi – een 14-jarig meisje met meer voetbaltalent dan zelfvertrouwen – naar Nederland moet verhuizen gaat niets meer vanzelf. Het jaarlijkse schoolvoetbaltoernooi lijkt uitkomst te bieden.

Saîd & Anna is een kleuter serie over duurzamheid en een tweede kans, voor zowel spullen als menselijke relaties.
Voor de score gebruikte ik vier instrumenten. Prepared piano voor de repair shop, een cello voor Said, (door Marcus van den Munckhof) klarinet voor Anna (door Anna voor de Wind) en ritmes van Darbuka vanwege de syrische achtergrond van het gezin, prachtig uitgevoerd door Alper Kekeç.

Rosi heeft een perfect leven in Suriname: ze woont in een mooi huis, heeft veel vrienden en een passie voor voetbal. Tot ze ineens naar Nederland moet verhuizen en alles verandert.
Leeuwin won diverse prijzen waaronder Beste Film op het Giffoni Film Festival

Dat Vaders & Zonen soms doet denken aan de zwarte humor van de excentrieke gebroeders Coen (Fargo, The Big Lebowski) en de Deen Anders Thomas Jensen (Riders of Justice, Men & Chicken) en daarmee prettig ingaat tegen de Hollandse gezapigheid, verdient alleen al lof. Guido Tienhoven, AD 04-08-2022

My name is Boelie Vis, I am a film composer and drama editor. I have twenty years of experience editing Dutch TV drama and various films. I also compose music for various series and films
In 2021 I recieved the Buma Award Beste Origional Composition in Televison Series for Kabam!
In 2022 Kabam! won an Interntional Emmy Award
I have been involved with music and film since I was fourteen, and that is still what I do. It is a golden combination for me if I can take care of both the editing and the score of a production.
At Leeuwin, KABAM! , Zuidas, Brugklas and Land van Lubbers this was the case. I worked on the editing and the score at the same time, so that they interlock as much as possible. It is wonderful to fully immerse yourself in the creative process during such a period. In the editing storytelling and feeling are most important, with the music feeling and energy. I find it always fun and inspiring to work with directors and I like a deadline.
For editing I am associated with Filmmore Amsterdam.
For music I have my studio in Ilpendam.
